Hunter Guide

Lets talk about mitigation and how well they can take hits. The hunter is hardly a tank, but they don't need to be. They wear medium armor, and have moderate HP. They have about the less HP than the champion. They have about 50% the hp guardian more or less.

The hunter has some insanely devastating bow damage. They start out fairly slow, but as you gain new abilities they can tear through enemies before the enemy even reaches you. But thats not all; even if the enemy does reach you, you have some surprises waiting for them.

Now let's look at some of the skills of the hunter. Starting out you get a standard low damage melee attack, like most other classes. You also get a quick bow shot which will do moderate damage, but very fast damage to enemies. You also get a barbed arrow which will snare and bleed enemies.

At a slightly higher level you get an ability which increases bow damage, and turns your quick shot into a snare as well.

At level 6 you get a trap which will root enemies that walk into it for a few seconds. This is good for pulling mobs with a bit more HP, and would take a little bit longer to kill.

You also get a double shot, which will take a few seconds to work, but when it does it does 2 shots at boosted damage each. You can score some VERY big hits with this ability.

You can generally kill anything before it comes close to you, but if they do; you can fall back to your somewhat competent melee abilities. If you use your barbed arrow ability, and the creature is still bleeding, you can use another ability that will score a large amount of damage but it will cause the bleeding to stop.

Summary

Lets wrap it up: The Hunter is a very deadly class, I would not want to meet one in battle. With the powerful bow damage, impressive traps and decent melee; they can easily eat most enemies for lunch. However they cannot sustain themselves to well in a 1on1 straight melee fight. They might get beaten pretty easily if you can get in close for long enough.
